John P. Menges, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2011 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
John was born on May 29, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Phillip and Malvina Menges. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later graduated from Purdue University. In 1982, John moved to Brevard County to pursue his career in engineering at McDonald Douglas Cruise Missile Program.
John was a member of the VFW Post 8191, American Legion Post 163, Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Mark; daughter, Karen Menges and her husband Fred Peterson; granddaughter, Zoe Grasser-Menges; his loving companion, Betty Stitts; and his former wife, Phyllis Campo.
