John Howard Middleton died peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Vero Beach, Florida on April 12, 2015 at the age of 78.

John is survived by his wife, Biancy Dunn Middleton of Vero Beach, Florida; his son, Allen Russell Middleton and partner Gary Alan Daniels of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter Theodora Fried Middleton of Maumee, Ohio; his grandchildren, Maxwell Alexander Middleton and Grace Elizabeth Middleton, both of Maumee, Ohio; siblings John Hartley and Jacklyn Dunn Soul of Hampton, Virginia; nieces Jacklyn Soul Smith of Salisbury, Maryland and Susan Soul Smith of Johnson City, Tennessee; nephews Paul Hartley Soul of Hampton, Virginia, John Allen Soul of Salisbury, Maryland, John William Middleton of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Mark Allen Middleton of Denver, Colorado and David Francis Middleton of Naples, Florida.

Mr. Middleton is preceded in death by his parents, Brigadier General John William Middleton and Frances Adams Middleton of Atlanta, Georgia and his twin brother, William Adams Middleton of Naples, Florida.
John Howard Middleton was born on June 4, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Georgetown Preparatory High School in Garrett Park, Maryland and Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. His professional career spanned over fifty years and included many distinguished positions in high-technology aircraft manufacturing with companies Rogerson Aircraft (President - Systems, Valve & Fuel Cell Division) , Kearfott Guidance & Navigation Corporation (Vice President & Board of Directors), Edwards Aerospace (President & COO), Trans-Aero Industries (President & Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors) and Van Dusen Air (Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Board of Directors). He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church (Vero Beach, Florida), Seacliff Country Club (Huntington Beach, California) and Laurel Ridge Country Club (Waynesville, North Carolina).

At his request, John's remains will be cremated and no funeral services will be held. The family plans to scatter his ashes amongst the many golf courses and vacation spots he loved and enjoyed with family and friends throughout his life.
