John P. Mitten, Sr., 72, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Mitten was born May 15, 1938 in Township of Neptune, NJ and moved to Vero Beach 20 years ago from Pompano Beach, FL where he had lived since 1969.
He had worked for Eastern Airlines as an aircraft refueler prior to working for Fleet Maintenance for the City of Oakland Park, FL. Mr. Mitten was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Jeanette Mitten of Vero Beach; son John Mitten, Jr of Vero Beach; daughters Melissa Betancourt of Sebastian, Catherine Eberhart of West Palm Beach and Jennifer Seely of Margate; sister Carolyn Brana of Spring, TX; two step-daughters Cynthia Dale of Melbourne and Sarah Dale of Kansas, OK; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services: No services are planned at this time.
