John Thomas Molesta, 86, of Vero Beach, FL, died Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Molesta had been a resident of Vero Beach for over 50 years, coming from Grand Rapids, MI.
He attended the University of Michigan, before leaving to join the United States Navy during WWII. During his time in the service he was a Naval Aviator instructing fellow pilots on F6F Hellcats for carrier landings.
John was a parishioner at Grace Episcopal Church, and was a longtime member Cascade Hills Country Club in Grand Rapids, MI. He was a resident of the Racquet Club in Vero Beach.
John was the owner of Molesta Floral in Grand Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Catherine (Cappy); sons, Tom Molesta of Nashville, TN, Dave Molesta and Bob Molesta both of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Patricia Molesta of Vero Beach, FL; Five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at later date in Grand Rapids, MI
