Morgan Jr.
July 20, 1939 – January 1, 2023
John B. Morgan, Jr., was born on July 20, 1939, and entered eternal life with Our Lord & Savior on January 1, 2023. He was 83 years of age. John was a widower of his wife Judith A. Morgan. They shared 55 years of marriage together.
John was born in Lynn, Massachusetts and grew up in Cliftondale in Saugus County. He moved to North Miami, Florida when he was 18 years old. He was the son of John B. Morgan, Sr. & Hilda Geraldine Morgan. After he graduated High School, he went to Miami Technical School and graduated in 1958. John worked 40 + years for Southern Bell and retired in Management as a Supervisor.
He was a member of the McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee, Georgia and attended Riverview Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, Florida.
John moved his family to Vero Beach, Florida in 1982, and continued his career with Southern Bell. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. He loved going fishing with his grandchildren, going to the movie theatres, taking them to the beach, and taught all of them how to drive. He loved watching old western movies, Hee-haw, All in the Family with Archie Bunker and The Jefferson's. John had his Real Estate license, and his all-time passion was looking for the best deals in real-estate and buying and selling property. He took his family on many trips to the mountains and all over the country. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, and the love he had for his family.
John is survived by his daughters Julie Bennett (David) and Jennifer Thomas (David), Eight grandchildren, John B. Morgan, IV, Nicole Knowles (Beau), Brittanie Bennett, Rebekah Civita (Anthony), Brandon Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Jessica Thomas, and Kayla Bennett, Eight great grandchildren, Elijah White, Paisley Bridwell, Gemma Thomas, Jack and Charlie Knowles, Samuel Civita, Tate Bennett and Rosemarie Civita, his siblings Linda Gonsalves (Gene), Donna O'Brien (Scott), and Richard Morgan (Janet). He was predeceased by his loving wife Judith Albright Morgan, Son, John B. Morgan, III, parents John and Hilda Morgan and his sister Geraldine H. Morgan.
The visitation service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 1:00 pm and the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, located at 1950 20th Street Vero Beach, FL 32960.
He will be buried at the Osborne Cemetery in Hiawassee, Georgia at a later date.
Flowers may be sent to the funeral home and Memorial donations can be made to the VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach, 901 37th Street Vero Beach, FL 32960.
