John Larkin Sgro, 61 of Vero Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Indian River Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.

John was born July 1, 1953 in New Haven, Ct. to Anthony Joseph and Jane Elizabeth Larkin Sgro. John served in the United States Army. His career included sales, carpentry, and home renovations but he will be most remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, keen wit and the desire to make everyone laugh.

John was predeceased by his wife Illyria Harrington and his parents .John is survived by best friend and companion, Beth (Alta) Feldman of the home in Vero Beach, brothers David Sgro of Fayetteville, NC and Kevin Sgro (April) of Franklin, NC and sisters Sally (Bob) Gilmore of Mystic, CT and Erin (Doug) Martin of Chittenden, VT; Illyria's daughter Kyle (Dan) Rean of Honolulu, Hawaii and son Kris Harrington of Biddeford, ME; twenty nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

A celebration of John's life will be held at a date and time to be decided.
