John Trenton Spivey, 91, of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.
He was born August 27, 1919 in Sanford, NC and was a resident of Barefoot Bay for 12 years coming from Kensington, MD.
Mr. Spivey was the Owner of Kensington Barbershop in Kensington, MD and a veteran who served in the US Army. He attended the First Baptist Church of Barefoot Bay and was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Mary Louise Spivey of Barefoot Bay; daughters Barbara Sue Svendsen of Barefoot Bay, Carolyn Jean Spivey of Westminster, VT and Frances Elaine Dawson of Springfield, VT; step-daughter Nancy Seagle of Barefoot Bay; sister Vera Harrington of Sanford, NC; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son John T. Spivey, Jr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the William Childs Hospice House, 381 Medplex Parkway, Palm Bay, FL 32907.
Services: A memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, December 16, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Barefoot Bay.
