John Roderick Williams

John Roderick Williams, 78, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Harold and Marjory (Weed) Williams.

John graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the Army Special Forces Association, attending their annual meetings whenever possible. John had a distinguished career as an Operations Agent for Delta Airlines.

John is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lavina Smith Williams, and his brother, Frederick Thom of California.

A passionate lover of the water, John and Lavina shared many joyful moments fishing and boating. They began with ski boats and, as they embraced the fun of getting older, more recently enjoyed their pontoon boat.

John was laid to rest in Beverly Hills, Michigan, earlier this month.
