Joni Walters Talbert, 70, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, January 7, 2011 at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Talbert was born February 21, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1955 from Long Island, NY.
She had been a Registered Sales Assistant with Wells Fargo, Prudential Securities and E. F. Hutton in Vero Beach. Mrs. Talbert had served as Chairperson of Teen Age Republicans of Indian River County in the early 70's and also was President of the Beachland Elementary School PTA leading the way for air conditioning being installed there.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years Dale Talbert of Vero Beach; children David Siebert of Port St. Lucie, FL, Elizabeth Siebert of Vero Beach, Melissa Lynn Zammit of Nassau, The Bahamas and Patrick Rhett Siebert of Orlando, FL; step-children Angie Kohtala of Maine, Heather Talbert of Boulder, CO, Sam Talbert of Cabo, Mexico and Bill Talbert of Ocala, FL; and two grandchildren Alexander Dean Siebert of Vero Beach and Olivia, Zammit of Nassau.
She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Walters, Jr.; two sisters Helen Cannon and Doris Walters; and step-son Peter Talbert.
Services: The guest book will be available for friends to sign 1-4 PM, Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Interment will be private.
