Jose Manuel Fanlo, Sr., 76, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his home after a brief illness.
Mr. Fanlo was born September 29, 1933 in Havana, Cuba and moved to Vero Beach in 1991 from Miami, FL.
He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
Prior to retirement he worked for Atlantic Roofing Co. in Vero Beach for 4 years.
He was a Living Lord Lutheran Church member, and a former member of the American Legion in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Rosalie Fanlo of Vero Beach, daughter Maria Luisa Fanlo of Miami, FL, son Jose Fanlo, Jr. of Miami, FL; step-daughters Colette Krinock of San Jose, CA, Cynthia Sweeney of Myrtle Beach, SC and Coleen Leonardi of San Jose, CA, brother Saturnino Fanlo of Madison, NJ, two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren, and one niece and two nephews.
Services: A memorial service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach with the Reverend David Charlton presiding.
