Joseph Elmer Gillis, Sr., 64, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House.
Mr. Gillis was born on August 22, 1946 in Meriden, Connecticut and moved to Vero Beach 12 years ago from , Connecticut.
He served in the US Army. Mr. Gillis was a supervisor for AGC for 18 years until his illness. He was a member of the 11th Armed Calvary Blackhorse and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, of 32 ½ years, Rose Gillis of Vero Beach; and son Joseph Gillis of Vero Beach.
Services: Services will be in Connecticut at a later date.
