Joseph Bruce Hines, 92, of Stuart, FL died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
Mr. Hines was born June 23, 1917 in Midland, MI and moved to Stuart 25 years ago from Grosse Pointe, MI.
Prior to retirement he was a salesman in the retail clothing. He served in the US Army during WWII.
He was a volunteer at the Martin Memorial Center South and took part in the No One Dies Alone program, distributed food for Meals on Wheels, served food at St. Josephs soup kitchen, and helped determine candidates in need for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Mr. Hines was also a volunteer at the Elliott Museum and the House of Refuge in Stuart.
Survivors include his daughter Chris Miller of Clarkston, MI, brother Peter Hines of MI and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor Hines.
