Joseph Tamburr, Jr. of Sebastian, FL died on December 14, 2009 at Palm Gardens, Vero Beach, FL.
He was born in Newark, NJ and moved from Goshen, NY to Sebastian in 1981.
Mr. Tamburr retired in 1979 from Kieley and Mueller, Inc. of Middletown, NY after 33 years. He was a member of the Goshen (NY) Planning Board, and a 17 year member and treasurer of the Cataract Fire Dept. of Goshen. He was a communicant of St. Sebastian Catholic Church for 25 years, where he served as an usher for 17 years. Joe was a hospital volunteer at Sebastian River Medical Center and a golfing and fishing enthusiast.
Surviving him are his wife of 67 years, Herta, a son Joseph Tamburr of Slingerlands, NY and a daughter Laurie Furlong of Sand Lake, NY as well as two grandsons and a niece. He was predeceased by his sister Norma Ambrosini and a son Karl Tamburr.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, Florida.
