Josephine Paladino, 102, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, September 6, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach..
Mrs. Paladino was born May 1, 1908 in Manhattan, New York and moved to Vero Beach in 2003 coming from Astoria, New York.
She was a seamstress in the New York Garment District before her retirement, a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Astoria, and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Paladino of Naples, FL, daughters, Patricia Mezzina of Vero Beach and Frances Nagy of Astoria, New York, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Paladino in 2002.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2000 20th Street, Vero Beach, FL. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 AM until 1:30 PM at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home. Mrs. Paladino will be transferred to the Morisco Funeral Home in Astoria for interment in St. Michaels Cemetery in East Elmhurst, New York.
