Joyce A. Atkins, 60, of Sebastian, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian, FL. Joyce has lived in Sebastian for 15 years, having moved here from Harmony, RI. She retired as an insurance underwriter for Amica Insurance Company and then worked as a Call Center Supervisor for Hale Indian River Groves. She was an avid bingo player and dog lover.
She is survived by her husband Harvey R. Atkins, Sr. of Sebastian; 3 daughters: Anne Atkins Stulik of Barrington, RI, Theresa Atkins Czernicki of Lothian, MD, and Linda S. Kennelly of Harmony, RI; 2 sons: Harvey R. Atkins, Jr. of Chepachet, RI, and Ray R. Atkins, II, of Fall River, MA; 10 grandchildren; mother Jane H. Stuckey Cyr of Vero Beach, FL; 2 sisters: Helen M. Murphy of Riverside, RI, and Elizabeth Viveiros of Warwick, RI; 4 brothers: Paul E. Cyr of Vero Beach, William F. Cyr of Franklin, MA, David J. Cyr of Vero Beach, and Steven D. Cyr of Sugarmill Woods, FL. Joyce was predeceased by her father Paul O. Cyr and brother Thomas G. Cyr.
