Judith "Judy" E. Lane, 74, of Vero Beach, Florida went home to be with her Heavenly Father February 18, 2014.

She was born July 8, 1939 in Hallandale, FL. She and her husband, Keith were married in Laon, France. After living in several states they came to live in Vero Beach in 1973 where her husband opened the new Airport Control Tower. She lived in Vero Beach for 40 years where they raised their family and retired.

Mrs. Lane was an active member of Vero Christian Church where she served 30 years as the nursery director. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Keith Lane; son, Greg (Karen) Lane of Louisville, KY; daughter, Susan (Kent) Drake of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Lois Boyle and grandchildren, Katie (Ryan) Peace, Matt Lane, Brandon Drake, Christopher Drake and Michaella Drake. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Duckworth and brother, Bruce Carter.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2pm, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Vero Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vero Christian Church Building Fund.
