Julia Urbina, age 83, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at Raulerson Hospital. Born in Karnes City, Texas, she had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1957. She enjoyed cooking, caring for birds, and gardening, especially flowers.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Urbina, Sr. and a son, Emilio Urbina. She is survived by her son, Ernesto Urbina, Jr.; daughters, Eulalia Stennett, Elida (Mario) Villalpando, Elmo Urbina, Rachel Lara, all of Okeechobee; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home, 3833 S.E. 18th Terrace, Okeechobee, Florida. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
