Obituary for June Nancy Schneider

June Nancy Schneider, 67, of Vero Beach, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with her husband by her side.

She was born to the late James and Nancy Day on June 10, 1951 in Berlin, Germany.  June traveled around the world during her childhood years as the daughter of a British Army Warrant Officer.  She received her nursing degree in Newcastle, United Kingdom in 1974.  June served as a British Army Nurse for six years.

After leaving the British Army, June traveled the world practicing her profession in Australia, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.  While nursing in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, she met and fell in love with Tom Schneider.  June and Tom were married in Colorado Springs in December 1992.

June is survived by her husband, Tom Schneider, her brother Alan Day of Australia and her step-children, Laura Hobbs and Jeffrey Schneider of Dallas, Texas

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2 ^nd at 12:00 pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.  Her Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm.  A wake, to celebrate June's life, will be held immediately after the Memorial Service at Bob and Beverly Schneider's house at 7565 14 ^th Ln, Vero Beach, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to either the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
