Kathryn Marie DeLancy, 86, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away September 19, 2018 at VNA Hospice House.

She was born to the late Samuel and Mary Castellano in Milton, NY. She graduated in 1952 from Vassar Brothers School of Nursing as an RN.  She married John "Jack" B. DeLancy in 1952 and raised their family in Wappingers Falls, NY.  They retired to Vero Beach in 1991 where she became very active in Village Green.

Kathryn was passionate about her family.  She leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband, Jack; children, Deborah (Howard) Felsten of Chicago, IL, Jeffrey (Beth) DeLancy of Hamden, CT, Lisa (Peter) Medgansis of Melbourne, FL; David (Sue) DeLancy of Cheshire, CT; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Sandy.  She was predeceased by her brother, John (Pat) Castellano.

Kathryn was an active member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. She loved arts and crafts and studying her family genealogy.  She was an avid reader and quilter.

The family will receive friends 4-6pm, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 6pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am, Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach.  Condolences may be shared online at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com .
