Kathryn Kay Everhart Erfurt, 89, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, November 24, 2008 at her daughters home in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Erfurt was born October 23, 1919 in High Point, NC and lived in Vero Beach from 1961 - 1965 returning to Vero Beach in 1981 from Ocala, FL.
She was a graduate of Mary Washington College, Charlottesville, VA and worked for the Marion County School System as a teacher prior to her retirement. Mrs. Erfurt was a member of MOAA and The Needlers. She was a volunteer with Hospice of Indian River County for fifteen years and the AARP Tax Program.
Survivors include her daughter Kathy Maier of Vero Beach; son Henry F. Erfurt of Vero Beach; four grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry F. Erfurt and a brother Buster Everhart.
Services: The family will receive friends 2 - 4 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach followed by a memorial celebration at 4 PM with Pastor Buddy Tipton of Central Assembly of God officiating.
