IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathy
Hettche
October 1, 1968 – July 12, 2023
Kathleen Ann Hettche (Kathy) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 12, 2023.
Kathy was born in Montgomery County, Maryland on October 1, 1968 to Leroy Raymond Hettche and Patricia Mary Hettche (Durkan). She attended High School at Germantown Academy outside Philadelphia and then onto college at the University of Southern California, graduating with a degree in Communications. She spent over 25 years as a financial planner and advisor, becoming a CFP and Vice President at Fidelity Investments and most recently at Merrill Lynch Bank of America. Kathy had over 400 clients at one time and considered them all her friends. Her strength at work was her relationships.
Kathy is survived by her parents, siblings Lisa Veglia, Mathew Hettche (Jessica), and Craig Hettche (Kendra) and nieces and nephews Meghan, Madison, Morgan, Mackenzie, Austin, Kathleen and Hank, as well as many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Kathy was recently divorced, but still considered her ex-husband Roger Feedham her best friend.
Kathy's family and friends will remember her wonderful smile, her love of music and cats, and her incredible flair for fashion and accessories. Her laugh and humor were felt by everyone in her orbit. She was a talented swimmer, All-American in high school and college, winning a gold and silver medal at the 1986 Goodwill Games, and world-ranked during the 85, 86, and 87 swim seasons. She enjoyed weekends with her hiking club, cheering for USC football, walking on the beach, visiting with her clients and buying gifts for everyone she loved. She will be dearly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 10am followed by a reception.
