Kay Rice Hodge passed away Monday July 29, 2019. She was born in Shelbyville, Indiana and moved to Florida in 1969. She had such a love of music. She enjoyed singing and playing the flute, especially when she was a part of their band "Cool Change". She had a big heart for her dogs (Desi, Lily and Zola). She called them her canine grand babies. She loved going to the beach to see the sunrise. Those who had a chance to know her knew she had a heart of gold and loved everyone. Her smile could light up a room.

Kay is survived by her daughter Kimberly Valdivia "Kimmie", her husband Bill Hodge and mother Marilynn Denny. As well as her siblings Joy Tromblee, Greg Rice, Paula Carithers, Herb "Herbie" Rice, Kenny Rice, William Rice. She also loved all her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father William Rice.
