Kenneth E. Ford, age 84, died at his home on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Born in Ft. Myers, Fla., he was a resident of Okeechobee for 70 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeechobee. Kenneth held perpetual membership in the Masonic Lodge. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. His hobbies included flying, fishing and golf.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Violet Ford and a brother Alan Ford. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Gloria Ford; sons, Michael Ford of Okeechobee, Gregory (Amy) Ford of Smyrna, Ga., Mark (Lynette) Ford of Okeechobee; grandson, Christopher (Jennifer) Rogers of Okeechobee, Jack Ford of Smyrna, Ga., Chase Ford of Okeechobee; granddaughter, Hannah Ford of Smyrna, Ga.; great-grandson, Christian Rogers of Okeechobee; and a sister, Lillian (Cliff) Holcomb of Lilburn, Ga.
Visitation will be held at the Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 22, 2011, from 5 until 8 pm with a Masonic Service at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 10 am with internment following at Evergreen Cemetery.
