Obituary

Kenneth Daril Hill passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, on what would have been his 63rd Anniversary to Patricia Hill, who predeceased him in 2022.

Born in Highland Park, MI, Ken was the son of the late Bill Hill, Edith Gelaude, and his stepfather, Robert Gelaude. Dad met the love of his life in Redford, Michigan, and they were married 59 years before Pat predeceased Ken in 2022.

Dad was a Guardian Ad Litem for 10 years, a dedicated volunteer at Osceola Magnet School, and spent countless hours helping children in the Winners Walk Tall program. Ken was an active member of The Community Church of Vero Beach, serving as Moderator during the new organ and installation project. He was also devoted to his Christ Care group for 20 years. Pat and Ken helped sponsor two families from Vietnam, who became part of the extended family over the past 4 decades.

Ken and Pat traveled the Country multiple times by motorhome and practiced the mantra of "Do Good and Be Good." He believed that actions spoke louder than words and lived in those actions as a quiet steward of God's Grace. Proving that by being good and doing good, lives could be changed for the better. Ken was the true patriarch of the family and helped anyone in need.

He is survived by three children, Rob (Antoinette) and their children Chris (Leanna), Jake (Sara), Rory & Katie; Mark (Janet) and their children Brandon, Jonathan (Caile), and great-grandbaby Seamus, & Michael; Cindy and her children Jalyn (Jack), Bennett, Denly & Merritt; and brothers, Larry Hill and William Dwayne Hill. In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his brothers Bobby, Mike, and Ron.

Services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, July 25th, 2026, at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th Street Vero Beach, FL 32960.
