Obit: Kenneth E. Sprague
Kenneth E. Sprague, 77, of Hastings, MI and Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Sprague was born February 28, 1933 in Hastings, MI and had been a winter resident of Vero Beach coming from his place of birth.
He had been the founder of K. & E. Tackle in Hastings after working for E. W. Bliss Co. in Hastings. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the US Army.
His survivors include his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Sprague of Hastings; son Kenneth Sprague, Jr. of Hastings; daughter Kathy (Gordon) Howes of Hastings; James (Jennifer) Sprague of Hastings; sister Frances (Bill) Wallace of Baldwin, MI; brother Thomas (Sue) Sprague of Woodland, MI; son Joyce Bowerman of Climax, MI; grandchildren Will, Danny, Emily and Clayton; and step-grandson Chad Howes.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Thelma Miles Sprague; brother and sister-in-law William and Doris Sprague; sister and brother-in-law Vera and Donavan Kaufman; and brother-in-law Jack Bowerman.
A memorial service will be held in Hastings at a later date.
The Family has requested memorial contributions be made to the charity of ones choice.
