Laura Virginia Conyes Jarrett, 92, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Jarrett was born July 11, 1916 in Ossining, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1997 from Stamford, CT.
She was an artist and a school teacher.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Elon College in North Carolina, and a Masters in Education from Western Connecticut State College. She was a member of the Silvermine Guild in New Canaan, CT.
Mrs. Jarrett was an avid naturalist, cook and traveler.
Survivors include her daughters Pamela Jarrett of Vero Beach, FL, Lauren Jarrett of Portland, OR, Penny Jarrett of Cincinnati, OH; son Robert Jarrett of Vero Beach, FL; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday. The family will receive friends 2-4 pm, Friday, October 17, 2008 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A reception will follow at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Marion Cemetery in Saugerties, NY.
