LaVern F. McLaughlin, 87, of Vero Beach, FL died July 29,2008 at Royal Palm Healthcare Center.
Mr. McLaughlin was born March 3, 1921 in Carlisle, PA and moved to Vero Beach
from Texas in 1945
Mr McLaughlin was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church, and served as manager of Quality Fruit Packers for 18 years prior to retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a night torpedo pilot aboard the USS Enterprise.
Survivors include his wife Helen, two sons Denny McLaughlin of Fort Pierce, FL, Steve McLaughlin of Pensacola, Fl., four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will be held at Living Lord Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
