Lavoid Carroll, age 82, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on April 16, 2018. He was born on January 1, 1936 in Greenpond, Alabama to Ada and Henley Carroll. Lavoid was the oldest of seven children.

He was a proud military veteran having served for 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as Sergeant First Class. He was happily married to Katie for fifty years, who preceded him in death in 2012.

Lavoid is survived by three sisters, Betty Hodge, Shirley Proctor and Norma Martin, as well as two sons, William (Teresa) Carroll and Roy (Lisa) Carroll and one granddaughter, Kylie Carroll.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Funeral Service and Military Honors will follow.
