Lawrence Patrick Hepburn, 78, of Vero Beach died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House.
Mr. Hepburn was born April 27, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 12 years, coming from The Bronx, NY.
Prior to retirement he served 30 years as a loyal and dedicated Captain for the New York Police Department, Detective Division. He was a member of the NYPD Honor Legion. He graduated from The John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Master of Arts and a member of The Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology.
Survivors include his wife Sally Hepburn of vero beach, FL; son Peter Hepburn of Vero Beach, FL; daughter Sarah Hepburn Boos of Sebastian, FL; sister Maureen Bleuler of Queens, NY, brother James Wylie of Ridgewood, NY and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice at 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Service: A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero beach, FL. Military Honors will follow.
