Lawrence Silvernail, 88 left this life after a battle with Alzheimer's on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.

He was the son of Lewis and Elsie Gates Silvernail, Nephew of Lloyd Kipp Silvernail.

Larry leaves his son Lloyd from CT and his daughter Patricia Olivieri from FL and her partner Don Elliott. His wife Phebe, is already an angel and is awaiting his arrival along with his beloved dog, Gigi and cat, Gonzo.

Larry was a graduate of Hamden High School, class of 1945.

Larry was a WWII Vet stationed in the Philippines and Guam, for the Army Air Corp. He worked at Pratt & Whitney in CT in the Tool & Dye Department for 35 years. After retiring in 1982, he and his wife moved to the Treasure Coast.

Larry loved to play golf and he achieved four hole in ones. The family would go each year to Ogunquit, Maine where they had property. Both Larry and his wife lived in Village Green in Vero for over 20 years and was very active in the community - he made the hash for the Sunday Breakfasts.

A memorial service will be in CT at a later date. Cox Gifford Seawinds is in charge of arrangements in Florida and BC Bailey Funeral Home in Wallingford, CT. Any donations should be directed to your local animal shelter of your choice in Larry's name.
