Lee McCarthy, 92, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. McCarthy was born March 22, 1916 in Ashtabula, Ohio and moved to Vero Beach 28 years ago from Bellevue, Ohio
Prior to his retirement Mr. McCarthy worked with Marathon Oil Company in Bellevue, Ohio for 30 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during WWII.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and St. Helen Catholic Church.
Mr. McCarthy is survived by three daughters, Patricia Thomas of Fairview, PA; Kathleen McCarthy of Cape Coral, FL., and Maureen Lyda of Sebastian, FL.; two sons, William McCarthy of Galena, OH. and James McCarthy of Wadsworth, OH; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary McCarthy.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30th, at 11:00AM at St. Helen Catholic Church Chapel.
