Lee Griffin, Sr., 70 of Sebastian, FL passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
He was born July 30, 1939 in Boston, MA and was a resident of Sebastian since 2001, coming from Buffalo, NY.
He was a chief of police at the State University of New York at Buffalo, a past president of IACLEA, former NY State Trooper. He was a member of the Italian-American Club, the Sebastian Golf Course, and he volunteered for the Red Cross. He also served in the US Army in Korea.
Survivors include his son Lee Griffin, Jr. of Tampa, FL; daughters Kelly Mitra of Orlando, FL, Noel Fotus of Niagara Falls, NY; brother Thomas Griffin of Buffalo, NY; three grandchildren; companion Linda Scott of Sebastian, FL. He was predeceased by his sister Jean.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, February 8th from 2pm-4pm at Eagles nest in Sebastian, FL.
