Lenia Altagracia Coln, 82, of Vero Beach, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House.
She was born January 21, 1931 in Puerto Rico and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 21 years, coming from Bronx, NY.
Mrs. Coln was an active member of the Centro Cristiano de Restauracin Church. She was employed for Con Edison Utility as a Dispatcher for 20 years until her retirement in 1991. She was an animal lover and a proud mother of her son, Dr. Luis Rivera who was the founder of Emergency Medical Associates at Indian River Medical Center, where she was a volunteer.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jose Coln of Vero Beach, FL; son, Dr. Luis Rivera of Sebastian, FL.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral home from 11am - 1p.m. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
