Leon Mixon, 84, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Mixon was born May 7, 1926 in Okeechobee, Florida and moved to Vero Beach 5 years ago coming from Ft. Pierce, Florida.
He was a veteran and retired from the United States Navy as Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy, Mr. Mixon first served as District Manager for Krystal Restaurant, then oversaw the City of Jacksonville Water Works Auxiliary System.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jessie Mixon of Vero Beach, FL; daughter, Tracy Hout of Vero Beach, FL; brother, James Mixon of Fayetteville, NC and four grandchildren.
