Leonard F. Clapp, Sr., 92 year old son of Mahala & Wallace Clapp (deceased), died May 16, 2015 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.

Lenny was born in Mamaroneck, NY on March 2, 1923. He joined the Air Force and after completion of his military service, he worked for Westchester Joint Water. He then went to Pleasantville Water Dept. and then to the town of Mt. Pleasantas as Superintendent. He retired with over 50 years of service.

Lenny Spent over 50 years in the Fire Service as a volunteer in both Mamaroneck and Pleasantville.

He was married to Dottie Clapp for the last 27 years. His former wife H. Jean Clapp pre-deceased him. Lenny has two sons, Leonard, Jr and Robert. He also has a daughter, Alison who pre-deceased him. He had two grandchildren, Alyssa and Christopher, and two great-grandsons, Bryn and Anthony. Lenny also had three step-children, David, Sharon and Scott. He also had two step grand children, Jaclyn and Kelly.

Lenny will be missed by his many friends and family. He was known for his great sense of humor and his golf game.
