Leonard S. Kurgan, 78, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Mr. Kurgan was born November 9, 1932 in Boston, MA. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for six years, coming from Jensen Beach, FL.

He served overseas in the United States Army. While in the service he and his wife, Sandra lived and traveled throughout Europe.

Prior to his retirement, Leonard was a business professional and worked as a branch manager for Fruehauf Tractor Trailer for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra; children Eric Kurgan of Pennsauken, NJ and daughter, Jacquie (Rodney) Youngs of Satellite Beach, FL; and one granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his son, Craig Alan Kurgan.

Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in honor of his son Craig Alan Kurgan who passed away in Florida from his fight with leukemia years ago, at 4360 Northlake Boulevard, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.

At the request of the family there will be no services.
