Leonard Sims, 85, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, June 27, 2008 at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC.
Mr. Sims was born March 31, 1923 in Natick, MA and moved to Vero Beach in 1989 from Crofton, MD.
He had owned a Dodge Dealership in Islip, Long Island, NY for 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and had served in the US Coast Guard during WW II.
Survivors include his daughters Constance M. Sims of Washington, DC and Patricia A. Gilsbach of Pennsylvania; a sister Sister Margaret Katherine Sims of Framingham, MA; three grandchildren Michael, Brian and Timothy; and five great grandchildren Alexander, Benjamin, Susan, Coleen and Rianne.
He was predeceased by his wife Gloria Sims, brothers Ralph Sims, Jr., Francis Sims, Donald Sims and Norman Sims, and a sister Margaret Dacy.
Services: A Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at St. Patricks Roman Catholic Church in Natick, MA.
