Leroy Hugh Elam's Obituary
Leroy Hugh Elam Jr., 67, of Port Saint Lucie, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach.
Mr. Elam was born May 14, 1944 in Bolckow, MO to Leroy and Ellen Elam. He had been a resident of the Treasure Coast since 1972, coming from Missouri.
Prior to his retirement he worked as a carpenter in the construction business.
He attended Central Assembly church in Vero Beach.
Leroy served in the United States National Guard.
Survivors include his son, Brian Elam of Port Saint Lucie; sisters, Marjorie Askew of Council Bluffs, IA and Jo Ellen Kaminski of Reno, NV; and one grandson, Brian Elam Jr.
Memorial donation may be sent to the American Cancer Society at PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach. Rev. Buddy Tipton will officiate.
