Leroy Willis, Jr.'s Obituary
LeRoy Willis, Jr., 89, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Atlantic Health Care in Vero Beach.
Mr. Willis was born May 26, 1918 in Easton, MD and moved to Vero Beach 11 years ago from Fort Pierce, FL.
He was the Assistant Firechief of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department in Maryland and was a Life Member of the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Willis also served as a Regional Instructor in Fire Fighting at the University of Maryland.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years Dorothy Willis of Vero Beach; son LeRoy Willis, III of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Sandra Willis last year.
Services: A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
