Lester J. Gano, 99 of Vero Beach, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Indian River Medical Center.

Born on April 29, 1915 in Bridgeport, CT., Lester moved to Milford, NJ where he met his wife, who he was married to for 75 years. He retired in Leesburg, FL in 1988 and moved to Vero Beach, FL in 2011. He was a WWII Veteran.

Lester is survived by his wife Ruth; son, Robert Gano and his wife Jeanne; daughter, Linda Gass and her husband Art; sister, Nellie Breiner; 5 grandchildren, Jeff Ort and his wife Emmy, Dennis Ort and his wife Maricia, Chris Ort, Shannon Ort and Jennifer Allen and her husband Jim; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughters.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 2:30 - 3:30 with a memorial service to begin at 3:30 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Military Honors to follow and interment will take place at South Florida VA Cemetery.
