Lewis Edward (Ed) Mitchell passed away on September 15, 2013, at Florida Hospital with his wife, Susan by his side.
Ed, a true Mountaineer, graduated from WVU with degrees in Finance and Economics. He then relocated to Florida to pursue a banking career, specializing in Trusts and Estates. His fiduciary skills were utilized at six Florida financial institutions during his 38 year career. He was a loving husband and father to his family; daughters, Shannon Kowski (Thomas), Ashley Mullins (Dennis) and Heather Mitchell, and the grandchildren he adored: Sophia, Andrew, Mitchell and Grant. During younger years, Ed was an avid golfer who enjoyed memberships at Tequesta Country Club and Riviera Country Club in Coral Gables. For several years after retirement and heart surgery, he kept his "irons" in the fire working as a seasonal golf starter and/or ranger at the Moorings Club. Private interment will occur at a later date.
