Lib C. Rogers, age 82, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at the Hamrick Home. He had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1988.
Lib was a past commander of VFW Post 10539, the American Legion, Moose and the Eagles. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Also, he was employed as an engineer with NASA for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elveda Rogers. Survivors include his son, Richard (Phyllis) Rogers of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Christine Kennedy of West River, Md.; grandchildren, Joshua (Lydia) Rogers of Seattle, Wash., Lauren (Earl) Smith of West River, Md., Janell (Matt) Wells of Seattle, Wash.; great-grandson, Jonas E. Rogers of Seattle, Wash.; brother, Vince Rogers of Charleston, WV; sisters, Jane Finucan, Mary Alice Guinet; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time.
