Lillian Buchanan's Obituary
Lillian A. Buchanan, 80, of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at her home.
Ms. Buchanan was born December 19, 1931 in Brookline, MA. She had been a resident of Barefoot Bay for 12 years, coming from Bennington, NH.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a dental hygienist, and was the Vice Treasurer for 15 years of Waltham Savings Bank in Waltham, Massachusetts.
She volunteered as a crossing guard for the Barefoot Bay area school district, volunteered for the Barefoot Bay Home Alone calling program, and was very active with the Barefoot Bay Sheriffs Department.
Survivors include her sons David Buchanan of Brookline, NH and Donald Buchanan of Cocoa Beach, FL; and her daughter Debra Mercier of Antrim, NH.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County, Attn: Connie Cotherman, PO Box 644 Vero Beach, FL 32961.
