Lorraine C. Mitchell, 83 of Vero Beach, passed away at Indian River Estates on December 14, 2016. She was born in Hartford, CT on January 19, 1933 and lived in Vero Beach since 1992, coming from West Hartford, Ct.
She was a graduate of the University of Hartford obtaining an Associate degree in Science. She was an Administrative Assistant and employed by The Hartford Insurance Company. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her niece, Denise Kust, and she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Maurice J. Mitchell Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10>00 AM, Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. John of The Cross Catholic CHurch. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
