Lucille Smith Rounds, 100 years of age, of Vero Beach, Florida, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 10, 2009.
Mrs. Rounds was born September 30, 1909, in Cooper Township, Michigan, and moved to Vero Beach in 1948 from Michigan.
She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Bendix Corp. and Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company. She also worked at age 92 for Boles Bikes in Vero Beach. Mrs. Rounds was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her niece, Joy Boots, and nephew, Al Smith, both of Michigan, and her loving friends, Marjorie Lewis, Betty Armistead and Geneva Pratt. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl J. Rounds.
Services: The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on November 14, 2009, at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach with a service at 10:00 a.m. with Dr. Charles Lever presiding. Interment will take place at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
