Malcolm E. Harden, age 49, died November 9, 2010, at his home. He was a native of Okeechobee.
Serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, he retired as a Staff-Sergeant.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, motorcycles and spending time with his family. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Purvis.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Jeannette; daughter, Brandi Harden of Okeechobee; grandson, Austin James of Ind.; granddaughter, Danika Harden of Okeechobee; father, Malcolm (Ann) Harden of Ocala; sisters, Cindi (Richard) Williams of Rockhill, S.C., and Lissa (Allen) Rheu of Okeechobee.
Visitation will be held Mon., Nov. 15, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with the service following immediately at Noon at the Buxton-Seawinds Chapel at Abundant Blessings Church. Private interment will take place in the South Florida National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, FL 34973.
