Marcel Eugene "Pete" Remy's Obituary
Marcel "Pete" Remy, 87, of Vero Beach, Florida died, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at VNA Hospice House.
He was born January 25, 1926 at Leominster, Massachusetts and had been a resident of the Treasure Coast for 30 years, coming from Massachusetts.
Mr. Remy was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII.
He retired from the Leominster Fire Department in 1981 after 24 years of service.
Mr. Remy was a member of the American Legion Post #3918 and the IAFF Local 1841.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Remy; daughters, Linda Remy, Donna Richards and Brenda Shakely all of Vero Beach; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, George "Duke" Remy, Charley Remy, Doria "Titu" Remy and Laval "Jim" Remy and two sisters, Rita Devarolis and Paulette Scoggins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
