Margaret Ames Bailey, 62, of Sebastian, FL died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL
Mrs. Bailey was born October 4, 1947 in Batavia, NY and moved to Sebastian 15 years ago from Morris County, NJ.
She was a graduate of Batavia High School and held a BA from the University of Pittsburgh. She had worked as a legal assistant at the Continuing Education of the Bar in Berkeley, CA and was a director of four units with Mary Kay. She spent several years in the field of advertising with Forbes Magazine and worked with JC Penney as an interior decorator and fine jewelry associate. Mrs. Bailey was a volunteer with the Humane Society and the Vero Beach Opera and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Society of Mayflower Descendants.
Survivors include her husband Patrick T. Bailey of Sebastian; daughter Lauren Katherine Farah of York, PA; sister Sue Norkeliunas of Hyde Park, NY; and two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 10:00Am, Tuesday on April 27, 2010 at Pelican Island Wildlife Refuge Viewing Area located on Jungle Trail, with Rev. Richard Jones of Sebastian United Methodist Church officiating.
