Margaret Elizabeth Bazemore, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away January 31, 2012 at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Samuel Elbert and Lela Humphreys Bazemore; sisters Leonard, Frances, and Rebecca; and brothers James and Gordon Bazemore, Sr. Margaret will be missed by her niece Barbara McKenney and family, niece Margaret Lynn Caswell, nephews Charles Walker, Gordon Bazemore Jr. and family, James Bazemore, David Bazemore and Phillip Bazemore. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved friend of more than sixty years, Lila Bussey, and many other friends in Vero Beach. Born November 12, 1920 in Cordova, TN, Margaret graduated from Germantown High School and was an active member of Cordova Presbyterian Church. After attending a business college in Memphis, she worked at Memphis Light Gas &Water as a supervisor and for the Naval Base, retiring in Florida after 28 years. In 1971, Margaret moved to Winter Park, Fl and later moved to Vero Beach, always loving what the ocean gave to her. She belonged to the Eastern Star. Margaret had a spiritual nature, never stretched the truth, never spoke ill of anyone, played by the rules, and was a favorite among her friends. Margaret was a true beauty and remained so until the time of her passing. Memorial service will take place in the Cordova, TN Presbyterian Cemetery at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cordova Presbyterian Church.
