Margaret Cable Bruce's Obituary
Margaret C. Bruce "Peggy" 90, passed away at Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL on April 21, 2016.
She was born in New Haven, CT on August 29, 1925 an only child to William and Agnes Cable. She graduated from Hamden High School in 1943 and UCONN in 1947. She was a teacher at Jared Elliot School in Clinton, CT for many years before retiring and moving to Vero Beach, FL in 1987 with her husband Bud.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Agnes Cable, her husband Gaylord "Bud" Bruce her husband for over 50 years.
She is survived by her son William C. Bruce of North Sutton, NH and daughter Gayle H. Bruce of Sebastian, FL, five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2: 00 PM, Friday, June 10, 2016 in the chapel at Community Church in Vero Beach. A private gathering of the family will be held in July in New York State.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Margaret's name to VNA Hospice of Vero Beach or Alzheimer Association.
